Funeral Services for Mr. Reginald Alfonso Wilcher of Adrian, will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019, at 11 AM at the Adrian Baptist Church, in Adrian, Georgia. Overseer E. Neal Dixon will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Adrian City Cemetery.
Mr. Reginald Alfonso Wilcher was born on February 24, 1968 in Adrian, Georgia, to the late Mr. Samuel Lee Wilcher and Annie Gelay Wilcher. Reginald affectionately known as "Reg" was a humble soul with a heart of gold, who lived his life on his terms and his way. Reg could always be found in the presence of his aunts and uncles, Diane, Tommie Mae, Dorothy, Catherine, Karen. Lucille, Lynn, Willie B., Terry and Johnnie B. Reginald was affiliated with the Saint James Baptist Church in Adrian, Georgia.
Reginald was educated in the Johnson County School System, and was a member of the class of 1987. He participated in baseball and basketball, and at one point, served as a point guard. Following graduation, Reg held numerous jobs as a laborer. Many people are surprised that Reginald battled numerous illnesses because he rarely appeared or behaved sick, continuing to work odd jobs. Reginald was an avid supporter of "The Corner".
Ecclesiastes 3:2 tells us there is an appointed time, and a time for every event under heaven. On Thursday, November 21, 2019, Reginald went home to be with the Lord.
He leaves to cherish his affectionate smile and memory, his only son, Xavier R. Wilcher (Tyler) of Smyrna, Georgia, one brother, Christopher Holder of Lexington, Kentucky, three nephews, Ashton, Jayce, and Chanse Holder of Lexington, Kentucky, and many supportive family members and friends.
His life will forever be remembered and cherished by those who loved him.
The family is receiving friends at 26 Adlark Street in Adrian, and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Thursday, November 28, 2019, from 6 to 7PM.
