Funeral services for First Sergeant Prentice Charles Brown, Sr., of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 11 AM at the Greater New Evergreen Baptist Church, 1599 US Highway 80 East in East Dublin. Reverend Michael Kirkland will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

First Sergeant Prentice Charles Brown, Sr., was born on November 16, 1952, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late Reverend Charles Brown, Sr., and Sister Ludie P. Brown. He graduated as the valedictorian of his class in 1970 at B. D. Perry High School. In 1976, he enlisted in the United States Army, and during those years of service, he earned the Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Bronze Medal, Clasp W/3 Loops, Driver Badge W/W Bar, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Expert Qualification Badge, (Rifle M-16) . He faithfully served his country for 12 years, and was honorably discharged in 1988. He was preceded in death by his beloved siblings, Clarence Hunter, Mrs. Ruth Marian Moore, and Reverend Charles Brown, Jr. He passed into eternal rest on March 3, 2019, at Fairview Park Hospital.

Cherishing his life and memories are his five daughters, Mrs. Kimberly (Broderick) Martin of Warner Robins, Georgia, Ms. Pamela Denise Brown of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Felisha (David)Walker of Dublin, Georgia, Mrs. Tamara (Benjamin) Knight of Heilbronn, Germany, and Mrs. Kassandra Brown of Zanesville, Ohio, one son, Mr. Prentice Charles Brown, Jr., of Ellenwood, Georgia, two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Brazeal of East Dublin, Georgia, and Ms. Myrtle Brown of Jacksonville, North Carolina, seventeen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family be receiving friends at the home of Mr. Thomas (Tanva) Edmond, at 2212 Academy Extension, Dublin, from March 6 to March 8 from 5 PM until 8 PM. Please post condolences at www.servicesbydudley.com
