Paul Moss

Funeral services for Mr. Paul Edward Moss, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 12 PM at the Wabash Church of God, 500 Telfair Street in Dublin. Reverend Sandra Moss will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Paul Edward Moss was born as the son of the late Bishop David Moss, Sr., and Pauline Parks Moss, in Wheeler County, Georgia, on June 8, 1950. He was an Oconee High School graduate of 1968 where he was a member of the high school band, honor society, football team, and the yearbook staff.

After graduating from high school, he attended Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana, where he majored in business administration. He worked for Alexander Proudfoot Management Productivity Company, then later for a mobile home manufacturing company in Mississippi and in Lakeland, Florida, for a commercial steam cleaning and restoration company in Roanoke, Virginia, and later as the director of a Boy’s Home in Wheeler County, Georgia.

Mr. Moss was a people person who loved people and seemed to never meet a stranger. As a youth, he was a faithful member of the Wabash Street Church of God in Dublin. After returning to Dublin, he continued to be a faithful member of the Wabash Church of God. He departed this life in Dublin on Saturday, January 28, 2017.

Mr. Moss is survived by his brother, B. David Moss, Jr., and his wife, Sandra, and their three children, Brian, Myra, and Eric; his sister, Clara B. Shealy and her six children, Jack, Jr., James, Benjamin, Rossie (deceased), Penny Brown, and Celia Smith; and by two aunts, Vera A. Smith, and her three children, Cheryl, Tiabetha and Dwayne; Dorothy Moss Day and her husband William, and their three children, Monica, William III, and Heather; and two uncles, Matthew Moss (deceased) and his wife, Delois, and their three children, Tamara, LaKitia, and Stephen; and Edward C. Parks (deceased) and his wife, Vivian, and their two children, Barbara and Edwina; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, 6-7 PM.
