Pamela Stephens
Homegoing services for Ms. Pamela Denise Stephens, of Dublin, will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at the William Grove Baptist Church, 104 West Mary Street, Dublin. Bishop Otha Stanley will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Dudley Memorial Cemetery.
Ms. Pamela Stephens was born on August 17, 1974, in Dublin, Laurens County, Georgia, to Mr. McGrath Stephens, Jr., and Mrs. Ethel Broxton Stephens. “Pam”, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was the only child born to this couple. She was, indeed, the apple of her parents’ eyes.
Ms. Stephens obtained her Associates Degree in Education and was currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Education from Middle Georgia State University. She found her passion for life to be helping others. In June of 2000, her career of 19 years began with the Dublin Housing Authority as a Community Services Assistant. Over the years, because of her intelligence, loyalty, and dedication, she was promoted to one of the top management positions in the agency as Southeast Property Manager. Her creativity and talents were so adequately displayed through the design of the many award-winning floats for which the Housing Authority is known. She would spend countless hours with her float partner, Frankie Wiggins, making sure that every detail was executed to perfection.
Early in her life, Ms. Stephens found her two true sisters/best friends, Lashawnyia Thomas and Taprena Folsom. Her best accomplishment was the successful rearing of her three sons,Trey, BB, and lil’ Marlow, her baby. Perhaps the attributes most adored by her family were her loving compassionate manner and her protective nature. She was ready and willing to give a helping hand and to offer a listening ear when needed. To all our sorrows, Ms. Stephens departed this earthly life during the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 12, 2019.
Ms. Stephens was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, McGrath Stephens, Sr., Mr. Lonzie Lee Broxton, Sr., and Mrs. Essie Mae Broxton, uncles, Lonzie Lee Broxton, Jr., Ronnie Stephens, Ricky Broxton, aunt, Bobbie Jean Williams, and first cousin, Brenda Brown Carter.
Ms. Stephens is survived by her devoted sons, D’Meco “Trey” Rozier, Brendon Foreman, and Marlo Foreman, Jr., all of Dublin; grandmother, Mrs. Juanita Stephens, Dublin, three aunts, Essie J. Montford of Dublin, Anginette (Karl) McRae of Macon, and Earnell Wynn; two uncles, James F. (Tracey) Broxton, Sr., of Dublin, and Mustafa Mahammad of Atlanta, two great aunts, Lena White of Palatka, Florida, and Beula Mae Allison, sisters/best friends, Lashawnyia Thomas and Taprena Folsom, nephews, Channing Thomas, nieces, Kalus and Breana Montgomery, big brother/cousin, Darryl Carter, her god-mother, Brenda Smith, all of Dublin, along with her many cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family is receiving friends at 102 Carter Street in Dublin.
