Funeral services for Mrs. Odessie Moss, of East Dublin, will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church at 1142 Highway 29 South in East Dublin. Reverend Eddie Lee Hixon will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Moss was born on December 3, 1927, in Laurens County, to the late Sarah James London Johnson and the late John Johnson. She passed on November 9, 2017.

She was a housewife and worked for many years as a maid and cook at various restaurants. She became a lifelong member of Williams Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moss was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Moss, Sr.; a son, Preston Lee Moss; a daughter, Odessa Funicello Moss-Gilmore; siblings, Kenneth (KC) Johnson, Annie Mae Coleman, and James Johnson; a sister-in-law, Ruby (Lillie) Johnson; grandsons, Gregory Keith Moss, and Toby Moss; and son-in-law, Granger Jones, Jr.; god brother, Isaac Thomas; sister-in-law, Mattie Johnson; and by brother-in-law, Junior Coleman.

She leaves to cherish her memories nine children, Gloria Jean Jones, Roger (Bobbie) Moss, Juanita (Mickey) Roberson, Beverly Ann Moss, Charles (Deborah) Moss, Cornell Moss, Eddie Moss, Jr., Jennifer Moss Blair, and Troy Moss, of Dublin/East Dublin, GA; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Ann Moss, Dublin. She also leaves twenty-seven grandchildren, seventy-two great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 103 Atwood Drive and at 310 Jordan Street in East Dublin.
