O. T. Girtman

Funeral services for Mr. O. T. Girtman, of Dublin, will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2020, at the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Reverend Reginald May will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. O. T. Girtman was born on January 5, 1940, to the late Albert Girtman, Sr., and Dollie Ashley. He was raised in Bleckley County and retired from the Shepard Brothers Company after many years of service and dedication. He was a member of the Howard Chapel United Methodist Church in Dublin. Mr. Girtman passed away on February 25, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Willie T. Girtman, Sr., Albert Girtman, Jr., and Rufus Girtman, a sister, Mary Wilson, and by a stepson, Ulysses Slaughter.

Mr. Girtman leaves to cherish his memories a devoted companion of 56 years, Willie Kate Slaughter, two daughters, Jacqueline (Phillip) McMiller, Shiela (Greg) Moore, one son, Otis Girtman, Jr., one stepdaughter, Florine Mack, two sisters, Dalline (Carl) Brown and Estella Mills, both of Augusta, five grandchildren, Latisha Simmons, Latoya Denson, Cortney Morris, Jamon Morris, and Greg Moore, Jr., eighteen great-grandchildren, a host nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives that loved and will miss him dearly.
