Naomi Zarate Torres of Waco, TX formally of Eden, TX, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the age of 68 surrounded by her family.

Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, August 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Eden Funeral Home. The funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Eden Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers are Manuel Torres Jr., Eric Zarate, Freddy Eureste, Mario Torres, Benji Garcia and Michael Zarate.

She was born August 30, 1944 in Eden, TX to the late Lupe and Carmen Zarate.

She married the love of her life Paul Torres on April 26, 1965. They shared 48 precious years together.

She lived her life to the fullest. She treasured each moment she had with her family as well as her spiritual family. She was a faithful member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

She always had a smile on her beautiful face. She had a big heart and always knew what to say to make one better, to make you laugh.
Naomi is preceded in death by her beloved son Manuel Torres and her parents Lupe and Carmen Zarate.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Torres of Waco, X; son, Paul Torres Jr. and wife, Annette of Waco, TX; daughter Pearl Garcia and husband, Oscar of Eden, TX, daughter, Becky Torres of San Angelo, TX; 12 grandchildren, Manuel Torres Jr., Starla Chambers, Megan Spencer, Erik Torres, Jacob Garcia, Benji Garcia, Brianna Garcia, Brittany Garcia, Eddie Joshua Garcia, Jonas Garcia, Andrew Torres and Aaron Torres; seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Steve Zarate of Cisco, TX and Paul David Zarate of Lake Mary, FL; two sisters, Mary Cruz of San Angelo, TX and Estella Escamilla of Eden, TX.

Naomi will be greatly missed by her family, her spiritual family and all who knew her. Rest in peace mom, we love you.
