Obituary Notice Nell Norris YORK Nell Shillinglaw Norris, 89, of 205 Arrow Road passed away peacefully Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. The funeral will be at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, November 19, 2012 at York A.R.P. Church with Dr. Tony Grant officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 18, 2012 from 6 - 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York, and other times at the home of her daughter Susan Leake, 1740 Filbert Hwy., York, SC. Nell was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Ormand Shillinglaw, and was the widow of Edgar Leslie Norris. She was a life long member of York A.R.P. Church, and was retired from Divine Saviour Hospital after 45 years as a nurse. Nell is survived by sons, David Norris (Kaye) of York, SC, Leslie Norris (Jackie) of York, SC, daughters, Susan Leake and husband John of York, SC, Sandra Gilliam (George) of York, SC, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and her special companion and pet, her Jack Russell "Russie". She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Memorials may be made to York A.R.P. Church, PO Box 475, York, SC 29745.
