Funeral services for Mr. Nathaniel Samuel, of East Dublin, will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11 AM at the Word of Harvest Church of God In Christ, 1609 Academy Avenue in Dublin. Reverend Benny L. Brantley will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Samuel, who passed on November 15, 2015, was born on May 31, 1952, to the late Mack and Alice Haggans Samuel. He attended the Laurens County schools, Oconee High School, and Job Corps in Nebraska where he received a degree in welding. He was a member of the National Guard and worked at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center and Southland Nursing Home as a nursing assistant. He attended Word of Harvest Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Apostle James Bell, Jr.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo Carswell, and David Walker, and by a sister, Lila Vickers.

Mr. Samuel is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Samuel; son, Leonard Dewitt (Tracia) Samuel; four grandchildren, Leonard Jr., Demonshae, Treynce, Sheyace, Atlanta; two step children, Carlton (Keisha) Evans, Angelica Evans; five step grandchildren; five sisters, Juanita Veal, Lillian Warthen, Beatrice (J.D.) Plummer, Dublin, Patricia (Arabia) Moreland, Augusta, Delois (Frankie) White, Atlanta; uncle, Major Dought, Miami, Florida, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 125 Cami Drive in East Dublin.
