Natha was a very active stay-at-home mom. Being a truck driver’s wife she was responsible to taking care of everything from home, family and finances and did it above and beyond what was expected. She was proud of her daughters and her accomplishments in life. She was a perfectionist at everything she did and many knew her for her alterations and sewing skills. She had many close friends and family and adopted them in her heart and thought of them as her own. She was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother and person who we will truly miss.
Death is nothing at all. It does not count. Jesus defeated death a long, long time ago. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched and unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, we are still. Call me by that old familiar name and speak of me in an easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without a shadow upon it. Life means all that is ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death….an accident? No, just a small piece of a great plan. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. I have gone to the place that God has prepared for me and you. All is well!
