Michael Howe YORK Michael Thomas Howe, 44, of 18 Smith Street, died Monday, October 10, 2011, at his home in York. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 14, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church in York. The Rev. Dr. Edward Jillson and Rev. Thomas B. McPhail will be officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Michael was born and raised in York. He graduated YCHS in 1986, attended Presbyterian College, and graduated from Winthrop University in 1994. Michael received his law degree in 1997 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Michael was a very kind and loving man who will be greatly missed by many. Michael is survived by his parents Joe T. and Mary Kathryne “Micky” Howe of York, brother and sister in law, Dr. Joseph and Laura Howe of Thomasville, GA, sister Mary Melissa Howe of York, nieces and nephews, Justin Michael Snipes, Jennifer Kathryne Snipes both of York, William Joseph Howe, Kathryn Isabella Howe both of Thomasville, GA, aunts and uncles, Norman and Nancy Guthrie of Marion, NC, Larry and Ava Howe of York, cousins, Kally Dotson, Scott Guthrie, Neal Guthrie Shannon Echols, Leah Corde, former wife Trayce Howe, and many dear friends. Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM, and other times at the home of Michael’s parents, 205 Wilson Ave., York, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 10 West Liberty Street, York, SC 29745.
