Michael James Hodges, age 30, passed away on February 21, 2013, in San Bernardino California after a courageous struggle with a long complicated illness. Michael was born February 15, 1983 in Long Beach, California, and was the oldest of the children in the family. At age four, Michael moved to the San Bernardino Mountains living the rest of his life there. Michael attended schools in the mountains, to include Rim of the World High School, where he played one year of freshman football. After leaving school, Michael apprenticed with his uncle and several local companies as an electrician for many years as he worked and studied to become a journeyman electrician. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, taking his daughter on walks and hiking with his father in the San Bernardino and High Sierra Mountains. Michael is survived by his father & step-mother, Ronald & Lynn Hodges, mother, Laura Eble, his daughter, Hayslin; to whom he was devoted, his sister, Sarah Hodges, and brothers Joshua Hodges and David Weaver, as well as grandparents and numerous other family members. Mike will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services will be held at St. Richard of Chichester Episcopal Church in Sky Forest, CA on March 3, 2013 at 1:30pm.
