Michael Davis

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Davis, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at 2 PM at the Springfield Baptist Church, 256 Carolina Avenue in Chester. Reverend Frank Drakes will officiate.

Mr. Davis, who passed on January 12, 2015, was born on March 4, 1964, to Thelma Davis Mack and Edmond Williams.

He was a 1982 graduate of Dodge County High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps and served six years. He later joined the United States Army where he retired with a honorable discharge. Mr. Davis was a member of Masonic Smooth Ashlar Lodge #646 of Hawkinsville. He was a deacon at the Springfield Baptist Church.

Mr. Davis is survived by his loving wife, Cassandra Ashley Davis and his children, Antwan (Tamika) Davis of Tucker, Tanganikia (Benjamin) Ross of Jonesboro, Michael (Laquisha) Davis, Jr. of Dublin, Chasity Davis of Charlotte, South Carolina. He is also survived by Ebony Stanley, Augusta and Quilliam (Jelicia) Telfair, Macon. Mr. Davis is survived by his mother, Thelma Davis Mack, Montrose; father, Edmond Williams of Eastman, GA; grandchildren, Tahauji Davis, Tanajae and Tanajza Ross, Eli Davis, Quinton, Jaliah and Qmari Telfair and Christian Stanley; grandmother, Pearline Davis; brothers, Phillip (Wanda) Mack, Dublin, Argene (Laconiga) Mack, Warner Robins; mother-in-law, Sarah Parks; aunts, Sandra (Walter) Godfrey, Chester, Tavonne Ashley, Killeen, Texas; uncles, Calvin Davis, Dublin, Robert Davis, Chester, Billy (Joyce) Davis, Chester, Fred Davis, New York, A.C. and Henrietta Williams, Dublin; aunts, Sandra (Walter) Godfrey, Chester, Tavonne Ashley of Killeen, Texas; father-in-law, Zebbie (Thelma) Ashley; brothers-in-law, Derrick Parks, Wesley (Felicia) Ashley; sisters-in-law, Shawanda Rozier, Sharon (Jeffery) Washington; godson, Big Red Ashley and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1014 Friar Tuck Court in Dublin.
