Funeral services for Ms. Melvinia Shine Dunlap, of East Dublin, will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013, at 1:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant AME Church, Bill Oliver Road in Wrightsville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Daniel Thomas, Jr. will officiate.

Ms. Dunlap who passed on November 25, was born on December 27, 1951, to the late Annie Lee Shine and Mel Neal. She joined Mount Pleasant AME Church at an early age. She was preceded in death by the her husband, the late Carl Dunlap; three sisters, Jeanette W. Cordy, Rosa Dunn and Willie Shine.

Her love and passion was flowers and she was the owner of Flowers by Ishaaq.

Ms. Dunlap is survived by a son, whom she loved dearly, Chadrick Dunlap; two grandsons, Ishaaq Dunlap of Bonaire, Chadrick Dunlap, Jr. of Soperton; two sisters, Annie P. (John) Bardge of Wrightsville and Annette Martin of Florida; one brother, James Shine of Wrightsville; two uncles, both of Atlanta, W. C. (Ann) Wood and James (Arlean) Wood; two aunts, Willie Mae Wood of Tennille and Ruth Wood of Brooklyn, New York; a very devoted niece, Treedmick (Dexter) Henderson of Bonaire. She is also survived by godparents, Alfred and Thomasenor Pearson, Sr.; godbrothers, Carl Pearson, Alfred Pearson, Jr.; godsisters, Ojetta Pearson, Dr. Herbertta Pearson Boone. She is also survived by close family friends to mention, Myra Waters, Bee Rozier, to name a few and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Annie Pearl and John Bardge, 8867 North Marcus Street in Wrightsville.
