Funeral service for Mr. Mavis L. Caesar 51 years old of Dallas, Texas went to be with his Lord, January 11, 2022 at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, will be Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Citizens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. S. S. Carreather, eulogist.

Viewing will be Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (1 hour prior to service)

When you are not feeling well, I am sure you can think of a joke or two that Mavis would tell. Mavis Caesar was born in Clarksville, TX on November 12, 1970, to his proud parents M.T. Caesar Jr. and Karla English Caesar. He was Thelma Nunley’s first grandchild. Mavis was always energetic, studious, and outgoing. He accepted Christ at an early age, had a love for family early-on, and never met a stranger.

Mavis graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, TX in 1989 and went on to study Accounting, Finance and Business Administration at Richland College. He worked as an EMT for approximately 5 years and as a highly skilled mortgage loan officer and sales manager thereafter. His expertise in the financial sector resulted in various awards over the years. Mavis developed an interest in playing acoustic guitar, reading, collecting comic books, and spending time with his family – especially the two twinkles of his eyes his daughters, Taylor and Mia.

On January 11, 2022, Mavis received a call, the type of offer too good to refuse that comes with a sign-on bonus, a reunion with his Heavenly father, his dad, and mom, and other family and friends he had not seen in a very long time. Mavis is healed now in the arms of Jesus.

Mavis was preceded in death by his parents, M.T. Caesar Jr. and Karla Kay English Turner and grandparents, M.T. Caesar Sr. and Vera Caesar and Nathaniel English and Thelma English.
