Funeral services for Elder Matthew Roosevelt Moss, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 12 PM at the Wabash Church of God, 500 Telfair Street in Dublin. Pastor Reginald May will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Viewing at the church will be from 11 AM until the funeral hour.

Elder Moss, who passed on October 4, 2015, was born to the late Mr. Daniel Webster, Sr., and Mrs. Vera Horne Moss of Glenwood, Georgia. He was a World War II veteran and worked as a welder for numerous companies over the years. He also had a passion for ministry and worked in a number of capacities in churches across the state including as the pastor of Pleasant Hill Church of God in Alamo and Straight Gate Church of God in Midville.

Survivors include a devoted wife, Delois Isaac Moss; two sisters, Vera Moss Smith of Dublin and Dorthy (Bill) Day of Stone Mountain; four children, Margarita Jackson of Camden, New Jersey, Tamara Moss of Savannah, Hanisa Laquisha Moss-Dixon of Dublin and Stephen (Erica) Moss of Anchorage, Alaska; eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 401 Smith Street, and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, 5-6 PM.
