Mary Holliman
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jacqueline Stuckey Holliman, of Atlanta, will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the Mount Tilla Baptist Church, 2424 Highway 441 North in Irwinton. Reverend Danny Alexander will deliver the eulogy, and Reverend Harold J. Banks will preside. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Holliman was born on March 15, 1933, in Danville, Georgia to the late R.C. and Lucille Watkins-Stuckey. She received her education in the Wilkinson County School System. She married Otis Holliman of Dublin in 1955. From this union, one son, Jerome Holliman, was born.
At an early age, she joined the Mount Tilla Baptist Church. Later as an adult, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia and became a faithful member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She served as a dedicated member of Choir#1 and the Mass Choir. She actively participated in church functions where her legendary collard greens were always requested by the hospitality committee. She had a very charitable heart where she faithfully contributed to the Kidney Foundation and the Hope House.
'Jac", as she was affectionately known, was employed by the Miller Zell Printing Company and the Atlanta Screen Printing Company, where she retired with over thirty-five years of service. Her kind, gentle, and humble spirit resonated in a special way to her family and friends. Her presence will definitely be missed, but her spirit will live in our hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Charlie Stuckey, Russell Stuckey, Eugene Stuckey, Clinton Stuckey, and Olyn Watkins (brother/uncle).
Mrs. Holliman's legacy will forever be cherished by her loving and devoted son, Charles Jerome Holliman of Atlanta, GA; one brother, R.C. (Cynthia) Stuckey of Warner Robins, GA; three sisters, Sarah Simmons of Macon, GA, Inez (Ira) Stanley of Jeffersonville, GA, and Annie (Clark) Bonner of Dublin, GA; four aunts, Mable Browner and Shirley Watkins of Macon, GA, Dorothy Watkins of Danville, GA, and Emma Watkins of Miami, FL; two sisters-in-law, Janice Stuckey of Dublin of Dublin, GA and Louvenia Stuckey of Macon, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Mrs. Holliman touched all of our lives in many ways. She will be truly missed and her memories will be cherished.
The family is receiving friends at the home of her sister, Annie (Clark) Bonner, 1057 Highway 199 South in East Dublin.
