Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lou Fullwood, 87, of Chester, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Springfield Baptist Church, 256 Carolina Avenue S, in Chester. Interment will follow at Burch Cemetery.

Mary Lou Fullwood was born on May 14, 1930, in Chester, Georgia, to James and Leither (Davis) Fullwood. She had four brothers and two sisters, all of whom she survived. She attended Chester High School after which she spent some time in New Jersey. She enjoyed traveling to many places across the country with her new husband, Elton Eady, who was an Army Chef. Upon settling back in Chester, she was a Domestic Worker and spent a large part of her time gardening, entertaining family and friends at her home, and working in many capacities at the Springfield Baptist Church where she has been a member since she was young. She unexpectedly departed this earth to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.

Mrs. Fullwood is survived by her children, Leither Rose (Joe Z.) Cooper, Gloria Gilmore, Evelyn Thorpe, Alexander (Winelle) Fullwood, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
