Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Dell Chappell Moore, of Rentz, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at 12 PM at the Greater New Friendship Baptist Church, 3265 Georgia Highway 19 South in Dublin. Reverend Eugene Dawson will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Stewart Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Dell Chappell Moore was born on April 14, 1954, in Dublin, Georgia, as the eleventh child born to the late Cleotha and Clara K. Chappell. Mrs. Moore was a graduate of West Laurens High School and was an active member of the Stewart Chapel Baptist Church. She was employed by Friendly Gus for more than thirty years, and she held many positions including store manager. During her spare time, Mrs. Moore enjoyed attending church, studying the Bible, and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Leo Chappell, Theodis Chappell, Clarence Chappell, and Ernest Chappell, and (godbrother) Gerald Walden, and by one sister, Mamie J. Harrell. The heavenly voices called her name on Sunday, June 30, 2019, to be with the Lord.

Mrs. Moore leaves to cherish her precious memories three sons, Jamel Moore of Rentz, Georgia, Brian Underwood of Las Vegas, Nevada, Shawn (Lauren) Smith of Atlanta, Georgia,five brothers, James (Helen) Chappell of Rochester, New York, Willie T. (Mary) Chappell of Villa Rica, Georgia, Curtis Chappell of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Clifford Chappell of Gray, Georgia, and Clinton Chappell of Rentz, Georgia, four sisters, Mattie Mathis, and Unverl Jean Chappell of Lansing, Michigan, Essie Lindsey of East Dublin, Georgia, one aunt, Corrine Butler of Dublin, Georgia, one sister-in-law, Margie Chappell, two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family is receiving friends at 1962 Anderson Road in Rentz, Georgia, and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, July 5, 2019,7:30 - 8:30 PM.
