Mary Chaplin
It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Mary Chaplin announce her peaceful passing, while surrounded by family, on March 8th, 2013 at the Maple Hill Care Centre in Langley. She was 91. Mary was born in Glasgow, Scotland on October 6th, 1921. She was predeceased by her husband Victor, brother Donald and sister Nancy. A daughter to the late John and Catherine Robertson, Mary grew up in Vancouver while working as a nanny in her younger years until she married in 1952. After marriage she moved to Fleetwood and dedicated her life to raising her family. She leaves us with wonderful memories, a deep sense of pride and an enduring love that will live in our hearts forever. Mary is survived by her daughter Cathie Frezell of Vernon, daughter Anne Marie Horton (Terry) of Langley and son Roy Chaplin of Chilliwack. Mary leaves a legacy of 5 wonderful grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Maple Hill Care Centre for their care and support over the last three years.
