Funeral services for Mr. Marvis Anderson, of Dublin, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the Greater Macedonia Baptist Church North at 1824 Claxton Dairy Road in Dublin. Reverend Elgin Dixon will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Alamo City Cemetery.

Mr. Marvis Anderson, the son of Edward C. Anderson, Sr., and Debra McRae Anderson was born on June 14, 1982, in Dublin. At an early age, he joined Woodard Grove Baptist Church serving as an Usher and Choir member. He departed this world on January 19, 2020.

He had a passion for taking things apart and putting them back together. He had an uncanny ability to reach people in a positive way. He loved spending time with his friends and family and enjoyed the simplicity of life. He had jokes and nicknames for tons of people that stuck with them till this day. He made you comfortable to be around and befriended everyone he knew. One can say he was a matchmaker, responsible for a lot of relationships. He was well known in the community as “Twin”, “Big Boy” or “Jarvis&Marvis”. His friendship extends to those he knew in the United States and as far reaching as India!

He is survived by his beautiful children, Demarvion Anderson, Mason Anderson and Maddison Anderson; his eldest brother Edward Anderson Jr.(Cylina), his twin brother Jarvis Anderson, his niece Sarah Anderson and nephew Draysen Javari James; Aunt Elaine Wooten (John) of Rincon, his late Aunt Tina Anderson of Dublin , Uncle Carlton Anderson of Dublin, Uncle Nathaniel Anderson of Dublin and a host of cousins, friends and other relatives.
