Marshall Bell

Funeral services for Marshall "Toddy" Bell of Atlanta will be held on Monday, August 26, at 2:00 PM at the Greater Victory Temple, 511 North Franklin Street in Dublin. Reverend Grady Bell will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mount Tilla Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwinton.

Mr. Bell, who passed on Tuesday, August 20, was born on September 27, 1944, to the late Johnny Marvin Bell and Mary Francis Watkins Bell of Wilkinson County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by two children, Mickey Bell and Vickey Bell; also by siblings, Lois Holland, Marie Bell, Betty Myrick.

Mr. Bell moved to Atlanta in 1973 where he worked as a foreman in construction concreter for fourteen years. He later became his own boss as a truck driver operator for twelve years until his health failed. He is a member of Masonic Lodge Rose Hill Masonic #418. He attended school at Millville High School in Dudley. He was a member of the Mount Tilla Baptist Church.

Mr. Bell is survived by two sons, Marshall (Olin) Bell of Augusta, Phillip Bell, Sr. of Dublin; daughter, Sonja (Benny) Wyatt of East Dublin; one sister, Fannie (Hershel) Rozier; five brothers, Marvin (Lucille) Bell and John Bell all of Atlanta, Jimmy Bell of Macon, Willie Earl (Willie Lee) Carr and Bennie Abrams both of Dublin; aunt Pearlie Mae Bell of Baltimore, Maryland and Mary Alice Bell of Nicklesville; stepmother, Selma Bell-Ricks of Dublin; four step sisters, step brother, Dianna (Larry) Moorman of East Dublin, Leola (Frankie) O'Neal, Sylvia Lucus and Fay Walden all of Dublin, Gary Butler of Dublin; devoted friend, Eva Mae Jones of Atlanta and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 529 Maes Lane in East Dublin.
