Marla Evette Williams Turner was born February 13, 1963 to Edward E. Williams and Mamie Johnson Williams in Clarksville, Texas. She united with the St. Paul United Methodist Church at an early age. She graduated Clarksville High School and was employed with Brentwood Terrace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Paris, Texas.

Marla enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
