Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie Faye Blackshear Turner, of East Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 12 PM at the New Canaan Baptist Church, 317 Carolina Avenue South in Chester. Reverend Stefan Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in the New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner, who passed on January 20, 2017, was born on July 23, 1946, to the late John Henry Blackshear and Ellen Hall Blackshear. He attended Peabody High School in Eastman. She worked at L&H Shirt Factory and Victor Forstmann and Company until her health failed. She later became a caring babysitter for her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

On May 27, 1961, she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Willie C. Turner. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Faye Turner Plummer, sisters, Bertha Brook and Jeannie Blackshear.

She is survived by her husband, Willie C. Turner: daughters, Marice Turner (Thomas), Margaret R. (Fred) Mercer, all of Dublin, sons, David C. (Anna) Turner, Dublin and Timothy L. (Glenda) Turner, Cochran, aunt, Emma Hall, Miami, Florida, sisters, Lavada Kirtz, Chester, Oline (Thomas) Frazier, Miami, Florida, Louvenia (Clifford) Parker, Atlanta, Edna (Will) Barnes, North Dakota, Hazel Plummer, Dublin, and Geraldine Blackshear, brothers, William H. (Lenora) Blackshear, Eastman, John H. (Yvonne) Blackshear, Jr., one sister-in-law, Christine (James) Smith, Dublin, grandchildren, Tramitra (Ketoney) Shower, Tampa, Florida, David C. Turner, II, Dublin and Makael A. Turner, Pembroke, North Carolina, Michael Jasper Plummer, Dublin, Taylor Turner, Feria Mercer, Fatiyah Mercer of Dublin, one great grandchild, Mi'Cayla Faye Plummer and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 506 Pointe West Place in Dublin and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Tuesday, 6-7 PM.
