Marilyn Elaine Jackson Jones was born April 12, 1956 in Clarksville, Texas to James Dell and Ruby Jewel Jackson. She united with the Hope Valley Baptist Church at an early age. She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1974. She attended East Texas State University.

Marilyn was employed by Texas Department of Human Services for 28years and retired in 2006. She later was employed by Jordan Health Services as a field supervisor.

She married Billy Wayne Jones August 20, 1976 and to this union was a loving son, Zachary.
