HICKORY GROVE -- Maria Byrum Comer, 55, of 1523 Scenic View Road died Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Gilfillan officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 6 - 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
A native of Hickory Grove Maria was a daughter of the late Luther Edgar "Ed" Byrum and Carmen Lattimore Byrum. She attended Gloryland Baptist Church and was a licensed practical nurse.
She is survived by daughter Lisa N. Harris, grandchildren, Madison Harris and Maverick Harris all of Gaffney, SC, brother Martin Street (Betty) of Pelzer, SC, and special aunt Mattie Sue Mullinax of Hickory Grove. In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by special aunt Mary Jane Byrum whom raised her, husbands, Keith Harrold Norman and Ronald Wayne Comer, grandson Robert "Keith" Harris, and sister Helen Lowe.
