IDAHO FALLS, ID Mac Dean Kump, 84, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully June 8, 2008, Sunday morning at his home from causes due to cancer.Mac was born May 23, 1924, in Rupert, Idaho, to Dean Emerson Kump and Nellie Edna Gibson Kump, attended schools in the Rupert area, and is a graduate of Utah State University.He was married to the former Anna Stringfellow in the Logan, Utah LDS temple in 1960.Mac moved to Idaho Falls in 1968, where he worked for Eastern Idaho Technical College and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Mac was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, an avid gardener, and was involved in youth sports programs, coaching youth basketball for the last 30 years. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Anna his children, Deanna (Steve) Chorian, of Canton, Michigan Alan (Shauna) Kump, of Idaho Falls David (Jennifer) Kump, of Tobaccoville, North Carolina Bryan (Breanna) Kump, of Idaho Falls and Cheryl (Jared) Kidman, of Idaho Falls sixteen grandchildren brothers Duane Kump of Salt Lake City, Robert Kump of Rupert, and Ferrell Kump of St. Joseph, Missouri sisters Roma Grow of Federal Way, Washington, and Carolyn Foster of Magna, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lola.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2008, at the Idaho Falls LDS Stake Center, 1155 East First Street, with Bishop Doug Hilman officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
