Funeral services for Mrs. Mablene Tinsley Pittman, of Dublin, will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the Saint Peters Baptist Church, 912 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Dublin. Overseer Elgin Dixon will officiate. Interment will be held in Saint Luke Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Pittman passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 after a brief illness. She was born on October 9, 1936, to the late William and Mattie Tinsley in Dexter, Georgia. She was educated, lived all of her life, and raised her family in Dexter. She worked as a domestic for many years for the Ward family before working at Mohawk Industries for twenty-four and a half years before she retired. She was a member of Saint Luke Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Lamar.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Patricia (William) Hood and Jackie (Shawn) Curtis; four grandchildren, Chris Hood, Cedric Hood, Jasmine Hood and Tinsley Curtis; great grandchildren; Aliyana Hood, Serenity Jade Southern and William Jayden Southern and two sisters, Dorothy Hawkins and Ruby Nell Coley as well all as host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Shawn Curtis, 123 North Elm Street in Dublin.
