Funeral services for Mrs. Luella Wiggins Walker, of Dublin, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the Valdosta Missionary Baptist Church, 1975 Hwy 199 South in East Dublin. Reverend John R. Sutton will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Luella Wiggins Walker was born September 27, 1925, in Laurens County to Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Wiggins. . Mrs. Walker joined the Valdosta Baptist Church at an early age and remained a dedicated and faithful servant for over 75 years. She served as a member of the Missionary Society, Senior Choir, Sunday School and Bible Study classes. Her education was attained through the Valdosta Church School which served the community for all the school aged children. She was united in marriage to Eugene Walker and to this union, two daughters were born. She was employed for many years by Fairview Park Hospital in environmental services and retired from the hospital after over 20 years of service. She was chosen “Employee of the Month” twice during her many years of employment. Mrs. Walker loved the Lord and her church. She taught her daughters and grandsons to follow the same path in life. She departed this life on Friday, November 23, 2018.

She was preceded in death by both parents and four siblings. Mrs. Walker leaves to cherish her memories two loving daughters, Barbara (Dan) Jolley of Macon, Georgia, Betty Edwards of Dublin, Georgia, two brothers, Clarence and Thelma Wiggins of Dublin, Georgia, four grandsons, Terrence Jolley, Torrey (Amy) Edwards, Brandon (Corinne) Jolley, Travis Edwards, all of Atlanta, Georgia, two devoted nieces, Christine (Richard) Baker and Julie McClendon of Dublin, Georgia, two great grandsons and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
