Funeral services for Minister Lucius Brown (Muhammad), of East Dublin, will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 600 Eisenhower Parkway in Macon. Minister Louis Farrakhan will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Minister Brown, who passed on January 1, 2017, was born on May 8, 1913, in Hawkinsville. At the age of twenty-one he became a deacon and was later ordained as a Minister. He embraced Islam under the teaching of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. He was a dean of ministry under the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. He did his ministries in Washington, D.C., Chicago and New York. He was the first minister to build a Mosque under Elijah Muhammad. He was a devout servant and companion to Minister Louis Farrakhan who is the national representative of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

Minister Brown is preceded in death by his father, William Brown, and mother, Mattie Brown. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William (Buddy) Brown, and Joseph Brown.

Minister Brown is survived by one daughter, Veronica Smith of Dublin; one granddaughter, Elisha Smith of Dublin; one niece, Mallory L. Stringer of Birmingham, Alabama; close friends, Brother Chris McKenzie, Brother Peace, Brother Clay and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 129 Marion Street in East Dublin and at the Dudley Funeral Home Thursday from 6-7 PM. Viewing will be held also be held from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Macon.
