Lucio (Chino) Gutierrez, age 92, died at HUMC, Hackensack, New Jersey, on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Born February 11, 1920, in La Victoria, Lima-Peru, he lived in La Victoria and Callao, Peru, before settling in River Edge for the last 35 years. He played basketball in his youth and shared his love for sports with all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Survivors include his longtime caring wife, Primitiva, children Jorge (Lidia) of Orlando, Florida, Mila (Jesus) of Lima-Peru, Nancy of Kearny, New Jersey, Jose (Marta) of San Diego, California, and Noemi of River Edge, New Jersey. He was also a fun loving grandfather and great-grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Lucio was preceded in death by his daughter, Martha. The family will welcome relatives and friends on Saturday, August 11, 3-5 PM at Martinez Memorial LLC, 747 Market Street, Paterson, New Jersey. The cremation will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Martinez Memorial LLC at 9 AM.
