Funeral services for Mrs. Loutrell Nelson Fambrough, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11 AM at the Henry Memorial Presbyterian Church, 511 Bellevue Avenue in Dublin. Reverend Mark George will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Loutrell Nelson Fambrough was born in Eastman to the late Addie Carroll Edmond, and Efference Edmond. Mrs. Fambrough loved education. After graduating from Washington Street High School in Dublin, she attended Savannah State College in Savannah, Georgia. She encouraged all of her children to pursue some form of higher education because she believed that education was truly the key to success. Known as "Mrs. Fambrough" to many of the students she taught during her tenure as an employee of the Dublin City School System, she was a dedicated educator. She always was a hard worker, and retired from the Dublin City School System after decades of service.

Serving the Lord was instrumental in her daily life. Mrs. Fambrough encouraged each child "to give his heart to the Lord and serve him" which was a lesson she learned from her grandfather, the late Reverend James Carroll. She was a devoted member of the Henry Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she attended sunday school and church. She passed away on June 13, 2017, and will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Mrs. Geraldine Nelson Lilly, and by a younger brother.

Mrs. Fambrough leaves to cherish her memory her children, James Fambrough, Jr., Yvonne (Dickey) May, Hubert Fambrough, Michael F. Gilbert, Keith (Kathy) Fambrough, Kytherania (Curtis) Fambrough-Brown, Kelvin (Priscilla) Fambrough, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and special cousins, Glenda A. Kirkland, and Daron Coates.
