Linda Rosenthal

Linda (Hylton) Rosenthal, 71, of Liberty, MO, passed into the loving hands of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. She was born February 13, 1947, to Beulah and Noah Hylton in Kansas City, MO.

Linda worked a variety of jobs after her girls were old enough to attend school, but her favorite was at the Liberty Public Schools Transportation Department. Linda retired from this job in June 2009 after many years of service. Her love of children, especially those with special needs, made her popular with those she helped transport. She was a cherished friend and co-worker.

Linda's Christian faith was very important to her and she always welcomed the opportunity to pray for others. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a teenager and cherished her relationship with Jesus above all. She was a prayer warrior and would always lift up friends, family, and even strangers to her Lord. Her faith in the Lord was furthered by Bible studies, attending church, and fellowship with other believers. She was a long-time member of Avondale Baptist Church.

Linda loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with her husband, her girls & their husbands, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and other extended family members. Her favorite things to do with Ernie included traveling, going to movies, and going to Royals games. She was always very involved in the activities that her daughters and grandchildren participated in. She attended numerous choir concerts, track meets, graduations, theater productions, baseball games, dance recitals, weddings, and pretty much anything her girls or grandchildren were involved in. She loved to watch the ones she loved doing the things they enjoyed.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ernest Rosenthal, and two daughters: Diane (& David) Petersohn and Martha (& Scott) Hutson, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren (and 3 on the way), as well as her sister, Jeanie (& Jim) Landis, sisters-in-law Roseanna Schell and Roseatta Emrich, brother-in-law Walter (& Betty) Bohn and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life: Friday, January 25th with Visitation at 4:30 p.m. and Service at 5:30 p.m. at Liberty Christian Fellowship, 1815 W. Liberty Drive, Liberty, MO.
In keeping with her character of thinking of others and wanting to help others, Linda donated her body to science.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society on Linda's behalf for cancer research.
