Linda Buyak

Linda Buyak was born December 10, 1948 in Redlands, California to Lynn and Luetha Dughman. She passed away April 20, 2013 in Mentone, California- just shy of two months from the day of losing the love of her life Don Buyak. She and Don were married January 4, 1969 at Sacred Heart Church in Redlands. Together they had four daughters.

A 1966 graduate of Redlands High School, Linda went on to work for the Redlands School District for 25 years. Linda retired from Redlands School District 3 years ago, where she worked as the Athletic Secretary at Redlands East Valley High School. She was recognized by her colleagues at REV for her outstanding work and attitude with their Medal of Honor, and was nominated several times for the REP Foundation Outstanding Classified Employee Award.

She was a member and regular donor of the Humane Society, ASPCA and other animal charities. She enjoyed working outdoors, watchings sports and heading out to Laughlin to gamble.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters: Pam Martin, Paula Rawls, Becky Buyak and Mandy Betts. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Autumn, Breanna, Colby, Nathan and Brooke; her Nephew Tim Dughman and Niece Terry Dughman. She was preceeded in death by her parents Lynn and Luetha, her brother Jim Dughman and her husband, Don.

There will be a celebration held at the Buyak Compound on May 25th at 4:00 PM.
