Funeral services for Mrs. Lilly Ellen Jones Stanley, of Dublin, will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016, at 11 AM at the Mount Tilla Baptist Church, 2424 Highway 441 South in Irwinton, Georgia. Reverend Harold Banks will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Stanley was born on December 23, 1939, to the late Cleveland and Lennie Jones, of Montrose. She became a member of the Mount Tilla Baptist Church at a young age, and worked faithfully in her church. She was educated at the Millville School. She was a committed employee of Biljo of East Dublin, until the company closed. She then dedicated her life to being a care giver for her mother, and for her only son, Albert Stanley, and for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had many joys, including reading and studying the scriptures and reciting poems. Mrs. Stanley passed away on June 16.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Lennie Jones; three brothers, Grover Jones, Earnest Jones, Elester James (Ethel Mae) Jones; and two sisters, Sally Mae Stevenson and Lizzie Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Albert Lorenzo Stanley, II, Dublin; one goddaughter, Katine Jones, Dublin; three brothers, Cleveland (Annete) Jones, Atlanta, Oscar (Annie) Jones, Montrose, and Carlton (Christine) Jones, Montrose; one sister, Lenette (Ulysses) Hines, Hollywood, Florida; four grandchildren, Tamikia King, Dublin; Kamelia Washington, Dublin; Tiffany Stanley, Dublin; Albert Lorenzo (Brittney) Stanley, III; twelve great-grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends.

The family is receiving friends at 381 Stanley Cemetery Road in Dublin.
