Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Mae Corbett, of Macon, will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at the Lundy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2081 Forest Hill Road in Macon, Georgia. Reverend Anthony Q. Corbett and Reverend Phillip Corbett (the sons) will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at the Mount Pullen Church Cemetery in East Dublin.

Mrs. Lillie Mae Daniel Corbett, who passed on June 24, 2017, was born on June 5, 1923, in Dublin, to the late Jessie and Idellar Brown Daniel. At an early age, she joined the Montford Grove African Baptist Church, where she served as an usher. She attended faithfully as long as her health permitted. She was a member and co-founder of The Heavenly Gospel Singers of Dublin, Georgia.

She was married to the late Marion Corbett. She was employed as a nurse with Claxton Hospital later with the late Dr. John A. Bell until she retired. She loved to fish and taught all of her children and grandchildren and others how to fish.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Corbett.

Ms. Corbett leaves to cherish her memories four daughters, Della M. Stanley, Dublin, Evelyn (Arthur) Smith, Cochran, Carolyn Cleveland (Dudley), Las Vegas, Phyllis (Stacy) Oatts of Columbus, two sons, Phillip Corbett, Alabama, Anthony (Juanita) Corbett, Macon, brother, Tallie (Rebecca) Daniel, Warner Robins, twenty three grandchildren, forty nine great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-8 pm, at the Montford Grove Baptist Church, 1902 Claxton Dairy Road in Dublin.
