Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Jane "Sandy" Whitley, 65, of Dublin will be held on Friday, July 20 at 11:00 AM at Pine Hill Christian Church, 2908 Fountain Road in Cadwell. Bishop JB Carr will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Church Cemetery. Mrs. Whitley who passed on July 17, 2012 was born on June 5, 1947, in Helena. Her parents, Sylvester and Estella Austin, preceded her in death. Mrs. Whitley grew up and went to school in Dodge County. She was a member of Pine Hill Church. Mrs. Whitley is survived by her husband of forty three years, Chancey Whitley, Jr.; one daughter and five sons, Flora Jean Whitley, Eastman, Mr. and Mrs. Sammie L. Whitley, Michael L. Whitley, Robert L. Whitley, Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Whitley and James C. Whitley all of Dublin; four sisters, Josephine (Samuel) Vick, Jacksonville, Florida, Precious Richardson, Cocoa, Florida, Carlin (Robert) Taylor, Milan, Carrie (JB) Carr, Chauncey; three brothers, Sylvester Austin, Jr, Randy (Cathy) Austin, McRae, Douglas Austin, Chauncey; four grandchildren, six aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
