Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Scarbrough Vickers, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 3 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 4195 US 80 West in Montrose. Reverend Jerry Walden will deliver the eulogy.

Mrs. Vickers, was born on May 23, 1928, as the daughter of the late Artis Scarbrough and Nobia Scarbrough in Montrose. She was a very passionate loving lady. She was very compassionate about her children, grandchildren and her cooking, Mrs. Vickers began her career cooking in various restaurants throughout Laurens County. She also worked at Bassett Furniture Company for many years. She was married to the late Grannis Vickers and to this union five children were born. Mrs. Vickers departed this life on May 15, 2019, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by three children, Betty Vickers, Robert Vickers, and Ossie Linder.

Mrs. Vickers leaves to cherish her memories her children, Geraldine Jones of Albany, and James (Gail) Vickers of East Dublin, her siblings, James Scarborough of Orlando, Florida, and Lou Anne Stanley of Miami, Florida, twenty-one grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, and twenty-three great great-children and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
