Levera Plummer

Funeral services for Mrs. Levera Waters Plummer, of Dublin, will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 12 PM, at the Buckeye Baptist Church, 2176 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Reverend Jamie T. Paulk will deliver the eulogy. Overseer E. Neal Dixon will preside. Interment will follow in the New Bethel AME Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Levera Waters Plummer, known to most as “MaMa”, was born on January 27, 1943, to the late Lucille Franklin Waters in Dublin. She graduated from the B.D. Perry School. She worked at Biljo Pants Factory for many years before retiring. She was a member of Living Faith Baptist Church.

Mrs. Plummer was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Plummer, a son, Gerald Plummer, a sister, Teresa Payne, brothers-in-law, Hardie Lee Payne, and Franklin Jones, and by a stepson, William Coady.

Left to cherish Mrs. Plummer’s memory are her loving children, Michael (Michelle) Plummer, East Dublin, Michelle (James) Lowery, Katrina Plummer and Carol (Kelvin) Wright, all of Dublin. While Katrina enjoyed her role as a daughter, she found greater joy in being her mother’s tireless and dedicated caregiver. Mrs. Plummer shared a unique and special bond with each of her grandchildren. They will each carry the life’s lessons that she taught them throughout their lives. Her grandchildren left to cherish her memory are Calandra Steward, East Dublin, Michael (Sade) Plummer, Tampa, Florida, Angelica Plummer, Milledgeville, Actavius Ashley, Dublin, Krystal Coady, Dublin, Quintonna Isaac, Valdosta, Troy Coady, Dublin, Khadeidra Linder, Valdosta, Quane Plummer, Dublin, Michael Plummer, Jr., East Dublin, Andra Linder, II, Dublin, Jaquarious Plummer, Jaquan Plummer and Jacori Plummer, Dublin, two sisters, Juanita Jones, Madison and Mary Montford, Dublin, her in-laws, Annette Rozier, Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Robert (Dr. Julia) Plummer, East Dublin, Margaret (Curtis) Pauldo, Dublin and Nora Martin, Dublin, seven step-grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, her devoted care givers, Lynelle Smith, East Dublin, and Candace Robinson, Dublin, a special cousin, Bernice Burley, East Dublin, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 1607 Clinton Drive in Dublin.
