Leonard McCullough

Leonard John Henry McCullough was received by the Lord on April 14, 2011. He quietly and peacefully passed away at St. Rosa Dominican Hospital – Siena in Henderson, NV with several members of his family present. He was born on June 8, 1934 in Laredo, Texas. Leonard was the loving husband of Gloria McCullough and leaves behind his son Clifton (Yulanda) and five daughters Karen McCullough, Stephanie Hicks (Tony), Sheryl Santa Cruz (Maximillian), Karla McCullough, Deborah Miller, stepson Alex, and four loving granddaughters, six grandsons, and one great grandson. He also leaves behind one sister Pearl and one brother Melvin of San Jose, California, a host of nieces and nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, son (Leonard, Jr.), two sisters and one brother. Leonard was a career soldier who served honorably in Korea and Vietnam. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved the Lord and loved his family. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with and looking out for family and friends while making significant personal sacrifices for the good of others. Funeral services are pending and will be held at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Junction City, Kansas. Interment will be at the Fort Riley Kansas Cemetery.
