Leo Dudley

Funeral services for Mr. Leo Dudley, Jr., of Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 1 PM in the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Reverend James Travick will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Leo Dudley, Jr., lovingly known as “Bobo”, was born on March 26, 1955 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Leo Dudley, Sr., and Essie Mae “Teedee” Dudley. He joined Valdosta Baptist Church at a young age and was a faithful worker in the Youth Ministry. He attended the public schools of Laurens County and graduated from West Laurens High School in 1976. He went on and joined the Army. Upon completing years in the Army, he joined the United States National Guard. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jeffery Jerome Dudley and Thomas James Moore, and by a nephew, Mr. Christopher Moore, Sr.

Mr. Dudley will forever be remembered by his two sisters, Debra (Leon) Blash of Dublin, Georgia, and Lisa Dudley-Stevenson of Dudley, Georgia, and a step-brother, Mr. Bobby Mitchell of Detroit Michigan. He leaves cherished memories with his sister-in-law, Mrs. Annette Moore, nieces, Shantaya Dudley of Dublin, Georgia, Ashley Blash of Jacksonville, Florida, Veronica Moore; Omesia Jones, both of Dublin, Georgia, great nieces, Nya Moore, Nadia Moore, Mikayla Ellington of Dublin, Georgia, one great-great niece, Leah Moore, nephew, Ret. USMC GySgt. Robert A. Moore, and a great nephew, Christopher Moore, Jr., one great- great nephew, Djimon Williams, aunts, Mrs. Elois Holmes Travick and Mrs. Irene Moore; uncles, Braxton Moore of East Dublin, Georgia, and Herbert O’Neal of Saint Petersburg, Florida, one godsister, Andrella Burnett, a devoted friend of the family, Mrs. Paula Johnson, and a host of cousins and other relatives.
