Funeral services for Mr. Lee Arthur Hicks will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 1PM at Brantley Chapel Church in Wrightsville, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Brantley Chapel Church Cemetery. Bishop Tommy Snell will officiate. Mr. Hicks, who was passed away on March 13, 2012, was born November 11, 1941. Mr. Hicks was a proud graduate of Dock Kemp High School and a life long resident of Wrightsville. At a young age he joined the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. He was the seventh of ten children born to the late John and Lula Hicks of Wrightsville. Four of his siblings preceded him in death: Herman Hicks, Betty Pace, Edward Hicks, and James Hicks. Mr. Hicks is survived by a son, Kenneth (Dianne) Jackson, Bartow, a daughter, Felicia Jackson, Bartow, sisters, Lula (Rev. Lewis) Brantley, Wrightsville, GA Lessie Dixon, Wrightsville, Johnnie (Carl) Young, Philadelphia, PA, brothers, William Hicks, Alexandria, VA, Benny (Ruth) Hicks of Roxbury, MA, grandchildren, Duwante Jackson, Antwon Williams, and Moxley Burton, Jr., Bartow, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
