Funeral services for Mr. L. C. "Pop" Stanley, of Montrose, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Eason Hill Baptist Church, 2022 Eason Hill Church Road in Montrose. Reverend Brian Ashley will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Stanley, who passed on May 3, 2016, was born on May 10, 1951, to the late J. B. and Ella Mae Stanley in Allentown. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Mae Holliman and Eddie Mae Hall; two brothers, Harvey Thomas and George W. Still.

He joined Eason Hill Baptist Church at an early age. He retired from Kamin of Dry Branch after thirty-five years of loyal and dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing. Mr. Stanley was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Mr. Stanley is survived by a devoted and loving wife of thirty-eight years, Betty Stanley; children, Corrie (Centralia) Blash, Tanicka (Willie) Blash-Coneway, William (Elizabeth) Blash and Tonya Blash; grandchildren, Kentrellis Showers, Shundrekus Smith, Corey Blash, Shenequoa Blash, DeMarla Foreman, Jabot Coney, Cantecious Wright, Jamarious Wright, Monique Blash, Leanna Blash, Jazerria Brown, Kashonna Stanley, Jackie Lee Stanley, Kendrick Coney; siblings, Laura Stanley, Allentown, David (Elizabeth) Stanley, Dublin, Leroy Stanley, Key West, Florida, William (Betty) Thomas, Martin, Tennessee, W.C. Stanley, Allenton and a host great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, couisns and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1547 Byrd Hill Drive in Montrose.
