Funeral Services for Ms. Lachica Ringwood, of Atlanta, Georgia, will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the Wabash Church of God, at 500 Telfair Street in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Lachica was born on September 4, 1979 in New Haven, Connecticut, to Phillistean Ringwood Obi and Bruce Green. Growing up, Lachica loved to perform as a cheerleader, play soccer, and sing and dance. She attended church regularly with her beloved grandmother, Olivia Ringwood, where she sang in the the Youth Choir and Praise Team. After graduating from Dublin High School, Lachica received her degree in accounting and she worked in the corporate world including at SunTrust and at Bank of America. She also worked many years in operations at Windstream Telecommunications, and at various clothing stores and shoe departments.

She was an inspiration and her arms stretch far and wide for her family and friends. She was truly a beautiful butterfly. Her love only desired togetherness. She loved having a good time, good laughs, and good fun. She was a true free spirit and with a never ending love for her girls. Lachica departed this life and gained her heavenly wings on Monday, June 3, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Reverend Homer Booker T. and Olivia Ringwood, uncles, Michael Baldwin, Terry Ringwood, Homer Ringwood, Jr., Samuel Ringwood, and by aunts, Gloria Ann Ringwood, and Sallie Ringwood Thomas.

She is survived by her daughters, Lamea Marie Taft (father, Reverdy Taft) and Lexi Ringwood Forney (father, Tyquis Forney), parents, Phillistean Ringwood Obi and Bruce (Alice) Green, grandmother, Trubee Green, siblings, Adaeze Obi (father, Amaechi Obi), Sharonda (Darrell) Everett, Shawnita (Nasson) Washington, aunts, Barbara (Jeffrey) Oland, Naomi Kelly, Stephanie Green, Shelia Walker, Toni Hartman, uncles, Nehemiah Ringwood, William (Wilma) Ringwood, Donald (Shirley) Ringwood, nieces, Amirah Green and Zalia Williams, nephews, Darius Davis, Jr., Rashon Mosely, Nasir Mosely, Kamori Mendez, Ahmir Davis, Kaysen Davis, Kaiden Davis, Isaiah Green and a host of "beloved cousins", godchilden and close friends.
