Funeral services for Mrs. Justine Jordan Thomas, of Dublin, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the Driskell Tabernacle Baptist Church, 223 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Dublin. Reverend Willie O. Smith, Jr., will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. .

Also known as “Goosey”, Justine Jordan was born April 14th, 1951, to the late Roy and Bertha Jordan, Sr. A native of Treutlen County, Georgia, she attended Swainsboro Technical College and worked as a nursing assistant at Shamrock Rehabilitation Center before she retired. She was known by many for her fun personality, love of music, the joy of cooking, and her determination to celebrate life as often as possible with her family and friends. She was a member of Driskell Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served on the Usher board faithfully. Mrs. Thomas passed away on June 28, 2018. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Ragsdale, four brothers, Roscoe, Roy, Jr., Bernard, and Lehman Jordan, and by two grandchildren, Sarai and Zion Howard.

Mrs. Thomas leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, Johnny Thomas, Dublin, four daughters, Erica (Moosa) Kone, Perry, Kristy (Michael) Chambers, Augusta, Kimberly Howard, Douglasville, LaTrice Mills, Dublin, one son, Jermaine Mills, Dublin, nine grandchildren, Tycora Lawson, Karen (Eric) Thomas, Imari Ashe, Rashidi Howard, Bryceton Mills, Christian Chambers, Charity Horne, Derek Bonner, and Jamarion Mills, six great-grandchildren, four sisters, Rosa (Jimmy Love),Soperton, Lannie Jordan, East Dublin, Carolyn Couch, Soperton, Sheena Jordan, Douglasville, one brother, Loran Jordan , Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, mother-in-law, Josephine Thomas, five sisters-in-law, Veta (James) Rozier and Denise Thomas, both of Dublin, Jessie (Earnest) Blue, Dudley, Gladys Jordan, Wrightsville, Maybelline Jordan, Waycross, brother-in-law, Eugene Thomas, Dublin, and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

The family is receiving friends at 1 West Graham Street in McRae, Georgia.
