Julius Charity
Memorial Services for Mr. Julius Phillip Charity,72, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 2 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 2424 South Highway 441, Dublin.
Mr. Charity was born on February 9, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan to Julius and Everlette Charity. On January 16, 1971, he married Chrystine Osley and out of this union, four children were born – Marlo (John), Andre (Lisa), Christopher, and Shaun. He symbolized his Baptism as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in February 1972. During many of his 43 years as a servant of Jehovah, he served as an Elder, as well as, a Pioneer and continued to show a zeal for the ministry until his death.
He was a beloved member of every congregation that he was a part of and was affectionately referred to as “Papa Charity” by many. For over 30 years, he worked at Clinton Valley Hospital, where from accounts of patients, as well as, his peers he was a valued employee, a kind man of few words who barely raised his voice. He will be remembered for his love of Jehovah, his love for his family, and the love that he showed for those in the congregation.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Brenda Dye, and Linda Hampton; son, Christopher; as well as his step-father, Lester Hardiman who played a major role in raising him.
Those who will continue to cherish him are his wife of 44 years, Chrystine Charity; his children; and others whose lives have been touched by him.
