YORK – Betty Joyce Smith Cook, 88, of York, SC passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 peacefully at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Pastor William Lingerfelt officiating.
Joyce was born on December 19, 1932 in Clover, SC. She was the daughter of the late Henry Smith and Lillie Hilderbrand Smith. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in York, SC.
Betty is survived by her husband, William Howard Cook, Jr. “Dub”, children: Donna Wagner (Wayne), Becky Wagner, Vickie Felstow (Bill), Lisa Cook (Duane), Joni Arrowood (Tommy), Russ Cook (Lynn), and Joel Cook (Amy), a brother, Larry Smith (Linda), and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Smith and Rev. Wayne Smith and sister, Sandra Freshour.
