Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine M. Thomas, of Dexter, will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 2130 Georgia Hwy 338, in Dexter. Bishop Henry Channel, III, will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Josephine Thomas was born on March 25, 1927, to the late Wille B. and Fannie McNear of Dexter. She departed this life on November 11, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie "Bicycle" Thomas, sons, Edward Thomas, Frankie Lee, Wilbert Thomas, Willie B. Thomas, siblings, Johnny B. McNear, Wilbert McNear, Leroy McNear, Emma McCrae, Alma London, Annie Ruth Hicks, Callie M. Mills, Grady McNear and Willie Mae McNear.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Eugene (Dean) Thomas and Johnny B. Thomas of Dexter, Veta Mae (James) Rozier and Denise Thomas of Dublin, Jessie (Ernest) Blue of Rentz, special daughter, Virgina Bowder, brother, Frank McNear, Titusville, Florida, sisters, Mary Coley, Hollis, New York, Lee Ethel Watkins of Irvinton, New Jersey, Sarah Channel of Dexter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
