Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Wesley Watkins, 43, of Dudley, will he held on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 1 PM at the Mount Tilla Baptist Church, 2424 Highway 441 North in Irwinton. Pastor Carlos Jones will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Vance and Lilly Heard Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Watkins, better known as Wesley to some, and as "Show-Dawgg" to others, was born on October 25, 1973, to Johnny Mack and Pauline Rozier Watkins in Laurens County.

He graduated from West Laurens High School and was active in the marching band and in the 4-H Club. His hobbies were raising dogs, car racing and cooking on the grill. His friends often said his ribs were finger-licking good and that they would fall off the bone. He also loved baking cakes. He was employed at the Forstmann Company, at Gilman, and at Southeast Paper Company. He was a member of the Millville Baptist Church. He passed away on April 2, 2017.

Mr. Watkins leaves to mourn his two children, Elaina Nicole Watkins and Antwan Rashod Watkins, both of East Dublin, his parents, Johnny and Pauline Watkins of Montrose; two sisters, Jonika L. Sutton and Georgette L. Reynolds, both of Atlanta, one niece and four nephews. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, godbrothers, godsisters, and cousins and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 2364 Old Hawkinsville Road in Dudley.
