Funeral services for Johnnie Clay Mack, of East Dublin, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Valdosta Missionary Baptist Church located at 1975 Highway 199 South in East Dublin with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor John R. Sutton will officiate.

Mr. Mack was born June 20, 1919, in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He was a decorated World War II veteran. After his honorable discharge, he relocated to New York, New York, and was self employed in the demolition business. After retirement, he relocated again to Dublin where he enjoyed working in his backyard animal farm.

He is survived by his devoted wife of nine years, Ella Thomas Mack of Dublin; two children, Joan Mack Bell and Arnold Hunter of New York, New York, three brothers; Jacob Mack of New York, New York, David (Alverita) Mack of Williamsburg; and Willie (Lula) Mack of Dublin; four sisters Alice Mitchell and Sarah Mitchell of New York, New York, Alberta Mack and Patricia (Nathaniel) Pitts of Orangeburg, South Carolina; twenty-two grand children, four known great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren, and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

The family will receive friends at 306 Sawmill Road in East Dublin and at the home of Willie Mack, 1166 Highway 199 South in East Dublin.
